General Information

Faribault Area Adult Education

The purpose of the Faribault Adult Education Program is to provide opportunities for learners who want to return to school to:
  • Learn English or improve their English skills
  • Return to the workforce and sharpen their academic skills
  • Earn GED or High School diploma
  • Prepare for Post-Secondary education; college and career advancement

​Classes Available:

GED - Test preparation including open classroom for individual instruction and computer guided instruction with internet access. State GED testing is available on site. 

High School or Adult Diploma Program - Start where you left off and complete the courses needed to earn your High School Diploma. There is also a new option Adult Diploma that is a competency based program for adults. 

English as a Second Language - Learners work in multi-level classrooms to develop skills in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, pronunciation and listening. Computer skills are part of instruction. 

Registration: 

Classes are open to learners 17 and older who are not enrolled in high school and want to improve their skills.
